When answering interview questions, there is a balance to be struck between your individual contribution and your contribution to a team.
Whereas you want to present yourself as a likable, capable person who knows the role, works well within teams, and can solve the Companies problems; too much use of “we”, will be interpreted that you had a minimum contribution.
Conversely, too much use of “I” may be construed as egotistical or self-centered, that you wish to take all of the credit, and may not present you as a good fit culturally.
Critique your stories, balance the use of both “I” and “We”. Use as appropriately in the context of the story.
Small changes make a big difference.
